
Overview
During my 6-month internship at Virtuos, I had the opportunity to work on patch 2.2 and 2.21 of Cyberpunk 2077 as QA Tester.

What was added?
Several features were added in this patch:

New cosmetics (tattoos, eyes, cyberware, nails, and more)

Randomizer feature for character creation

New features in Photo Mode (drone camera, collision with environment, lock camera, image format options, NPCs, lighting, various fixes, etc.)
-
10 new cars
-
Twintone technology to change the paint of many cars
-
Scanning cars to unlock unique and generic paint jobs
-
Johnny can now appear as a passenger when you drive in Night City
-
Smart frames to display pictures in apartments
-
Gallery to sort pictures taken in Photo Mode

New mini world stories
-

What was added?
Patch 2.21 was more focus on bug fixes for new features:

Adding DLSS 4 on PC

Bug fixes on smlart frames

Bug fixes in photo mode

Bug fixes on Crystal coat

Special bug fixes for consoles and PC
My role in this project
As QA tester at Virtuos, I was in charge of the initial testing of each new modifications made by Virtuos team.
My main tasks included:
-
Using Xbox and PS5 devkits as well as the client's internal tools
-
Creating and tracking tickets via JIRA
-
Designing and executing test plans, smoke tests, and sanity tests
-
Actively participating in client meetings with CDPR Leads
-
Collaborating with the external QA team (QLOC)
-
Writing daily and weekly reports
